El perro feroz
Argentina
Agustín Toscano
1974, Tucumán, Argentina. Out of economic need, Sergio, an illiterate rural worker, starts collaborating with a guerrilla group whose motto is “to kill or die for Argentina”. With the help of his wife, María, he supplies to them non-perishable food that he secretly delivers once a week. He is paid a hefty sum in dollars. His neighbors do not take long to report him to the police that starts looking for him. His life is in danger. Sergio leaves his family and immediately takes refuge in the revolutionaries’ clandestine camp. He becomes a guerrilla without having a clear idea of what that means. He does it for the sole purpose of surviving. María believes in the revolution and tries to be accepted into the camp Sergio wants to desert. Sergio would not hurt a fly. With a broken marriage and caught in a battlefield, will Sergio willingly give his life for a cause he does not understand?
