Chile is under a military dictatorship. Carmen (49) is a bourgeois housewife whose life seems fairly solved, but an uneasiness she can’t fully understand is progressively becoming more evident. Miguel (55), her husband –a successful doctor just promoted-, and her two children, have decided to treat her with a psychiatrist who gives her medication she is not convinced to take. Carmen’s routine is interrupted when priest Sánchez (68), a family friend, asks her a favor; to secretly treat Elías (21), a young revolutionary man he has been asked to shelter in the church after being gunshot.
