At the age of 90, New York born Elaine Mokhtefi publishes her memoirs, an intimate and gripping  account of her time as a radical activist in Algeria in the 1960s and 1970s, linking anti-colonial militants, Black Panthers and European radicals. Tracing more than half a century of progressive struggle, her story offer a clear-eyed, first-hand recollection of the way things fall apart, and examines the present-day generation’s search for their own revolution.
